I've settled in to Sydney and all things are good. I love being in Sydney. The family has settled in well and we're making the slow but good move to permanent work. I'm still freelancing and really enjoying it. It's good to see a few different studios and see how they all work. To tell you the truth most studios are the same here and back in the UK.
I am currently available as a freelance Senior Finished Artist/Creative Artworker if anybody is interested. I'm also looking for a full-time Studio Manager role. I just need to find that perfect studio that I would like to be a part of.
I need to spend some time updating my website - samtgarner.co.uk - as I'm not that keen on how it looks. It needs to look a lot cleaner, It's all a bit all over the place at the moment. I'll try and do that in the next few weeks. It would be good to put a blog of current work on there to let people know what I'm up to.
I've met some really nice people since I've been here and would like to take the time to thank them for making my first few months pleasant.
Having the extended family over here is really helping, taking the pressure of just a little bit.
Still no chance to do any painting. I've got my hands full with a baby, trying to find a job, doing DIY to the flat (new kitchen, painting, drilling holes in walls etc.)
